The annual event fea- tured four of the dis- trict s award-winning gardens and work from about 100 New Zealand artists. There was also live music and food to add to the ambience with proceeds going to Rotary Kumeu to be distributed to Kumeu Community Patrol, West Auckland Hospice and Kumeu Vol- unteer Fire. The popular Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens Exhibition opens on November 20. It features about 70 artworks from leading and emerging artists which will be on display until October next year. Fun pieces include a collection of creative letterboxes and scare- crows made by the dis- trict s preschools. The opening features music and Devonshire tea. The gardens, at 1481 Kaipara Coast Highway, are open daily 9am to 4pm. For opening tickets, phone (09) 420-5655. The Kaipara s rich his- tory is the next Talking Point topic at Kumeu Arts Centre.
