For Mango, they are school leaders Izayah Taipeti Davies and Maselina Grimshaw and house captain Sharntae Williams. For Aihe, Courtney Webber and Carissa Mansell-Sawyers and house captain Shaun Ford. For Honu, Natasha Brown and Meinata Hemana and house captain Laurence Yu. For Kutai, Caleb Tawhai and Zoe Cook and house captain Tony Stockman- Rapana. Massey scholarships Scholarship recipients from Massey High School were congratulated at a scholars assembly. The guest speaker was Harry Aitken, the dux and head boy in 2007. The successful students were Jai Min Choi with physics, mathematics and outstanding in biology, statistics and chemistry. Lujia Xu gained biology, physics and outstanding in chemistry and statistics. Amelia Reaburn gained statistics, geography and classical studies. Laura Gan gained year 12 English and statistics. Stephanie Leighton gained biology and chemistry. Karishma Beach gained classical studies, Alisha Brunton for history, Kanako Konishi for biology, Meghan Ashford for physical education, Gunnika Gill for statistics, Chermei Magalogo for English, Ryan Lim-Yip for year 12 statistics. Flexible entertainment Members of The Dance Shed Kumeu will perform at schools this month. The first event is at an annual children's day gala at Paremoremo's Ridgeview School on March 6. Closer to home, they perform at the Waimauku School gala on March 26 from 11am. All the fun of the fair at Kaukapakapa Good attendance: Fine weather played its role in a successful Kaukapakapa School fair. Dunking delight: The traditional water bucket game kept the laughs up while the victims cooled down. Plodding along: Horse rides were a relaxing way to see the sights at the Kaukapakapa School fair. A new playground for junior students at Kaukapakapa School will be swinging into action thanks to a successful fundraiser. About $10,000 was made at the school s fair with glorious weather attracting thousands out to enjoy the festivities. We ve done really well. We are well on target for the funds needed for the new playground, school sup- port group chairwoman Sandy Marshall says. Plans are all approved for the modern equipment which will stand out at the front of the school.
