Great coffee: Cafe Toi Toi owners Nerralee and Tony invite you to enjoy a coffee and a tasty meal at their coastal cafe. Fresh flavours of Muriwai at Cafe Toi Toi Coffee and cake: Enjoy the fine weather at Cafe Toi Toi's outdoor tables. Take fresh tasty food made with locally sourced ingredients, add a dash of city sophisti- cation and place in a beautiful coastal setting with ocean views -- and you have the recipe for Muriwai's Cafe Toi Toi. When Nerralee and Tony took over Muriwai Top Shop last October, they added fresh coffee and cabinet food, intro- duced more deli items and local produce in the store, and opened Cafe Toi Toi -- bringing a wel- come new dining option to Muriwai. In a private setting, the cafe enjoys stunning views, with picture windows looking out to sea across bush-clad slopes. There is an out- door area for fine weather. The entrance is at the side of the shop -- look for the surfboard signs -- and there is a separate parking area for customers. Cafe Toi Toi offers an all day menu for break- fast, lunch and casual snacks, and a tapas style menu with light meals and platters to share in the evening. It's licensed and serves a selection of local wines. You can order the Muriwai big breakfast with homemade hash browns throughout the day, and the daytime menu also features mussel fritters -- one of the most popular items -- fresh fish, quiches, salads, omelettes, bagels, eggs benedict and more. Gluten free and veg- etarian options are avail- able. In the evenings Cafe Toi Toi serves a tapas style menu with a var- iety of platters, fritters, and other light meals plus daily blackboard specials. Cafe Toi Toi serves organic coffee made with organic milk -- a delicious accompani- ment to their selection of fresh baked cakes, slices and muffins. Cafe Toi Toi is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 8pm. The cafe can be booked for private functions for small groups. For bookings and further information, phone 411-8086.
