There s something for everyone at Kaukapa- kapa Village Market -- with up to 50 stalls every month, it s a great place to shop and enjoy catch- ing up with friends and neighbours. Here you can find fresh local produce, home baking and preserves, fresh bread, plants and seedlings, art and crafts, outdoor furniture, locally made crafts and art, pet products, hand made soaps, collectables and more -- all at traditional market prices. From 10am to 1pm local musicians play live, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The Kidz Korner keeps the little ones entertained while mum and dad do their shopping. A sausage sizzle run by the Helensville Lions provides a bite to eat while you shop, at the same time raising funds for the many charities and community groups supported by the Lions. Other hot food is avail- able, along with coffee, tea and cold drinks. If you are trying to raise funds for a good cause, the market offers you a great opportunity. The Kaukapakapa Vil- lage Market is held every third Sunday of the month at the Kaukapa- kapa Hall and carpark in the heart of the village. The next market is this coming Sunday, August 21. Winter hours for the market are 9am- 1pm -- in summer the market starts at 8.30am. Stalls are just $10 -- whether in the hall or in the carpark. They are normally booked out for every market, so if you are keen to have a stall, it pays to make your booking well ahead of market day. To enquire about booking a stall and obtain further information, phone Sarah on (09) 420-9175 or Kim on (09) 420-5776.
