"THE RIGHT WAY" White base (tinting charge extra) Gloss, semi-gloss, low-sheen Festive spirit shines through Rallying around to ensure peo- ple would never forget their Christmas Day in Helensville brought out the best of spirits. Planning will be under way for this year's event following the second free festive lunch held at the Helensville War Memorial Hall, thanks to dona- tions from businesses, com- munity groups and individuals. It was a real community effort,'' one of the organisers Kiri Powell says. About 200 people turned up, including volunteers who shopped, served food, handed out presents, decorated and cleaned up the hall. The event catered for people new to the district, struggling financially, alone on Christmas Day, with family too far away to visit or with too many mouths to feed or those just wanting to meet new people. They were also treated to activities and entertainment. COMMUNITY NEWS Thinking about trying before buying an e-reader?
